Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The value of the properties of Deputy Director of Barigarh Cooperative Society in Chattarpur, Pran Singh alias Munna, and his wife Meena Singh, crossed Rs 2 crore in the valuation carried out by Economic Offenses Wing (EOW), officials said on Wednesday .
The EOW had received complaints that the couple owned properties disproportionate to their known sources of income. On May 7, the EOW raided the couple’s three sites and seized ownership documents, gold and silver jewelry, vehicles, and details of movable and immovable property.
After a month and a half, the EOW released the valuation of the property. No less than 35 farmlands worth Rs 1.1 crore spread over 67 acres, a farm in Lavkush Nagar, bank and postal deposits worth Rs 50.25 lakh and vehicles worth Rs 50.25 lakh Rs 28.48 lakh was unearthed.
The salary of an assistant manager is Rs 9,000 per month. Till date, the assistant manager had earned a salary of Rs 7.74 lakh. During searches, EOW officials also found a luxurious two-storey house in Chattarpur, the rental papers of two stone crushers.
