OTS program for cooperative banks extended until November 15

Given the good response it is generating and the ongoing festival season, the Single Settlement System (OTS) for delinquent debtors of state cooperative banks has been extended by the state government until to November 15 of this year.

Registration cooperative Anand Swarup said the OTS has been extended for an additional month. He said the program was getting a good response and that in the past two months, a sum of 5.77 crore rupees has been deposited by NPA account holders.

Swarup informed that 579 people have applied in the OTS in which a sum of Rs 14.04 Crore is expected to be deposited.

Giving details, he said that Rs 40.53 lakh per 69 people in Haridwar, Rs 85.81 lakh per 59 people in Kotdwar, Rs 23.14 Lakh per 26 people in Dehradun, Rs 4.28 Lakh per 11 in Chamoli, Rs 132.62 lakh per 47 in Tehri, Rs 82.40 Lakh per 53 people in Uttarkashi, Rs 63.38 lakh per 36 in Almora, Rs 25.43 Lakh per 25 in Nainital, Rs 33.78 Lakh per 3 in Pithoragarh, Rs 1.61 Lakh per five in Udham Singh Nagar and Rs 84.5 lakhs per 15 people in State Cooperative Bank Haldwani in OTS so far.

Co-operatives Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram said the extension of the OTS date is good news for those who have not deposited their money into the loan accounts and should take advantage of it.
