On Thursday, July 28, Eastern Shore Community College hosted Gary Pan (Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry), Patricia Morrison (Director of the Virginia Registered Apprenticeship Division) and members of their teams for signing a registered learning agreement with Peraton Corp, one of many innovative business partners supporting the growth of the US space program on NASA’s Wallops Island.
Through this agreement, the ESCC and Peraton will work together to provide professional experience and technical training for this new generation of rocket-manufacturing specialists. The program will begin with training in CNC (computer numerical control) machining and will expand to provide more advanced machining skills as employees progress in their careers.
This is just the latest step for Your Eastern Shore Community College to prepare residents of our community to advance professionally and make the coast an even better place to work and live.
